Our region offers opportunities for lifelong learning, allowing all residents to contribute their skills, talents, and abilities to society.
By 2050, all Los Angeles students will have access to early education programs, every high school student will graduate and be college and career ready, and all parents will be engaged and empowered to direct their children’s learning. LA will capitalize on its concentration of higher education facilities to foster new businesses, advance research, and spur innovation.
After-School All-Stars Los Angeles CampUS
CampUS is an innovative summer program to prepare incoming 9th graders for success and an experience in college life. Students spend a week with a hands-on true college experience on a local college campus. They move into the dorms, eat in the cafeterias and take classes in college lecture halls. Through this immersive program, students are offered exciting courses on how to succeed in high school, and what to expect when start their college career. Learn more

We Are Ready to Battle the HS Crisis
WAR curriculum teaches students: how to succeed in high school; their high school options; how to study, plan, and stay organized; how to take notes; an introduction to college applications and college campuses; how to build a resume; and numerous career options matching the education requirements. The culmination, CampUs will allow students to attend a 5 day camp that focuses on high school success, the importance of college, college applications, leadership skills, and career panels. After-School All-Stars, Los Angeles wants to support our youth as they move through the toughest transition, middle school to high school, and make life-changing decisions that will determine their paths in high school and beyond. We want to continue to mentor our students in their high school years and provide them an opportunity to also mentor the future and make a difference.
